Any .22 rifle and ammunition may be used. (1985 or previous pattern cards will be subject to a penalty of 2 points per card) Section B: Teams of five, shooting on Cadets and Schools cards. MoD issued ammunition and rifles only, but rifles may have iron sights fitted. Section C: Teams of four (under 15 on 1 Sept. 2009) firing on Cadets and Schools cards. Any .22 rifle and ammunition. Section D. Teams of four (under 16 on 1 Sept. 2009), NSRA 1989 cards, marked with our overlay system. Any .22 rifle and ammunition. Please list teams, members and averages (state whether NSRA or C&S) on a separate piece of paper and send it with your entry form. Each competitor will fire one card in each of five rounds, the FIRST TWO ROUNDS TO BE SHOT BY 1st FEBRUARY AND SENT TOGETHER, Round 3 by 22nd February and the remaining rounds at fortnightly intervals. Teams will be placed in Divisions of six or seven on the basis of declared averages, and the winners of each Division will receive a set of BSSRA embroidered cloth badges. Each team entering will qualify for a TOP SCORE badge awarded at the end of round 5. Notes on Completing the League Entry Form: 1. Schools may enter any number of teams in each section. 2. Within a Section firers must be ranked with the highest averages in the highest team, etc. 3. Competitors may fire in more than one Section in the same round, but not in more than one team in the same Section. 4. Team personnel should be declared, with averages, on the enclosed form. Please give Autumn 2009 averages if possible. Schools who do not give averages risk having their teams placed in the highest Divisions. ASSOCIATION CHAMPIONSHIP (OPEN TO ALL MEMBERS OF CLUBS/ UNITS AFFILIATED TO BSSRA) An individual competition in three stages, each consisting of three NSRA 1989 cards. Stage I To be fired and scored INTERNALLY by the School. N.B. HAVING ENTERED, ENTRANTS MAY FIRE STAGE I ANY TIME FROM 1st DECEMBER 2009. All entrants scoring 280 or over then go on to: Stage II To be fired on cards issued by the School by 8th FEBRUARY and posted with a certificate to the scorer. See BSSRA Form B/1 for details of how to issue cards and the wording of certificates. Stage III will be fired by the top 25 competitors in Stage II by 15th MARCH on the cards sent out with the results of Stage II. Final positions will be decided by scores in Stage III, but Stage II scores will be used for counting out. The winner will receive the BSSRA Championship Cup for a year and a tankard to keep. Subsequent prizes of medals, and Finalist badges for all competitors reaching Stage III. JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP (Open to those under 15 on 1st September 2009) As for the Association Championship except that Stages I and II will consist of TWO Cadets and Schools cards and the FINAL STAGE (the top 20 competitors) will be of TWO NSRA 1989 cards. The qualifying score for Stage II is 192. The winner will receive the Yool Cup to be held for a year and a tankard to keep. Subsequent prizes of medals, and Finalist badges for competitors reaching Stage III. NATIONAL POSTAL MATCH This will be fired during the course of the spring term. Please send names and averages of suitable candidates with your entry forms. Anyone with a 10-bull average of 93 or more would be considered. Please put English, Welsh and Scottish candidates on separate pieces of paper and in each case give a comment on match temperament, current NSRA 1989 averages and a certificate that they are eligible for that country (see NSRA rules 3.2 and BSSRA Form B/2). I will pass these on to the National organisers, who will pick their teams after Stage II Championship scores are known.
